1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners. Similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) work in comparable ways. We group the technologies we use into two categories: essential and analytics.
2. Essential Cookies vs Analytics Cookies
2.1 Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and for security. They do things like keep your session active, remember your cookie-consent choice, and protect against cross-site request forgery. Because they are required for the service you have asked for, they do not require consent — but they never track you for advertising.
2.2 Analytics Cookies
9gg.app does not currently set any analytics cookies. We count visits from our own web-server logs (see the Privacy Policy), which involves no cookies, no third-party scripts, and no advertising profiles. If we add a consent-gated analytics tool such as Google Analytics in the future, it will load only after you give consent, and this policy and the table below will be updated first.

The _ga, _gid, and _gat rows describe what Google Analytics would set if we ever enabled it. As of October 5, 2026, none of these cookies are set by 9gg.app.
4. How to Control Cookies
- Consent banner: when shown, you can accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the
9gg_consentcookie or revisiting the consent settings. - Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See your browser's help pages for instructions. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
- Google Analytics opt-out: you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Should Google Analytics ever be enabled on 9gg.app (it is not today), Google would handle the data it collects under Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and Google's "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" page at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
